FORT CALHOUN STATION, UNIT NO.1 - AMENDMENT NO.177 TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NO. DPR-40 (TAC NO. M96384)
Dear Mr. Patterson:
The Commission has issued the enclosed Amendment No.177 to Facility Operating License No. DPR-40 for the Fort Calhoun Station, Unit No.1.
This amendment consists of changes to Facility Operating License No. DPR-40 in partial response to your application dated August 23, 1996.
The amendment modifies paragraph 2.B.(2) of Facility Operating License No.
DPR-40 to reference 10 CFR Part 40 allowing the use of source materials, in the form of depleted or natural uranium, as reactor fuel.
The proposed revision to Technical Specification 4.3.2 is still under staff review and will be processed at a later date.
A copy of our related Safety Evaluation is also enclosed.
The Notice of Issuance will be included in the Commission's next biweekly Federal Reaister notice.
