Subsurface Soil Criteria Use Clarification Pursuant to Cintichem's meeting with the NYSDEC and USNRC on February 1,
1993, the following clarification regarding use of the proposed subsurface soil criteria is being provided.
Soil whiwh exceeds the surface noll criteria and which is less than or equal to the subsurf ace criterj a, will be covered with at l e as t. 20 feet of clean concrete rubble, followed with at least a 3 foot topping of clean soil.
This soil will be located within, under, or adjacent to.the reactor and/or hot laboratory buildings and structures where it is feasible to comply with the concrete and soil overburden requirements.
This will apply only to soil that has been obtained f rom these areas.
