This letter is-in response to your letter of March 13, 1985.
A.
With reference to Item 11, Calibration of Instruments.
Following written correspondence and contacts by telephone, it has been decided that calibration of all our radiation survey instruments and monitoring equipment will be done by:
Radiation Service Organization P.O. Box 419 Laurel, MD 20810 All instruments will be calibrated on a quarterly basis.
Calibration of instrumentation for detection of alpha, beta, gamma, and x radiation will be done directly by the above named organization.
For calibration of the instrumentation for detection of fast neutrons, a gamma source will be used by this organization in conjunction with our detector and a
" gamma / neutron ratio calculation" performed.

With reference to personnel monitoring, b
The Radiation Service Organization will also supply us with film ibadge service through arrangements with:
i Siemens Health Physics Services 2000 Nuclear Drive Des Plaines, IL 60018 The film badges service will also be on a quarterly basis.
It is extremely unlikely that there will be any use whatsoever of our
-nuclear materials until September 1, 1985.
Therefore, I am going to
. proceed 'with arrangements so that both our calibration and film badge contracts will begin on that date.

I sincerely hope that this information will allow our request for renewal of License No. SNM-600 to be processed and approved as soon as possible.
