As discussed with your staff on January 22, 1993, enclosed is information which is requested to support the NRC staff's review of the postaccident containment hydrogen monitor issue (TMI Action Plan item II.F.1.6) at Millstone Unit No. 1.

1.

Provide an estimate of the core damage frequency for_each of the three assumed scenarios (inerted containment, de-inerted containment, and beyond design basis accident) for the current plant condition (i.e.,

one hydrogen monitor).

2.

Provide an estimate of the core damage frequency for each of the three assumed scenarios for two hydrogen monitors (the existing monitor and assumed backup).

3.

Provide the-offsite population exposure in terms of man-rem assuming total failure of the containment, with one hydrogen monitor.

4.

Provide an uncertainty analysis of the above three estimates.
