Meeting to Discuss Vermont Yankee Compliance Program and Exemption Requests for 10CFR Part 50, Appendix R
Dear Sir:
This letter is pursuant to Vermont Yankee's request for a meeting to discuss our Appendix R closecut program and the Section III.G exemption requests submitted April 24, 1985 [ Reference (b)]. On the basis of conversations between yourself and Mr. William Hl..gle of the Vermont Yankee Project, it is our understanding that you and Mr. Steve West of the staff will meet with us on Tuesday, July 16, 1985 in Room P.110 of the Phillips Building beginning at 10:00 a.m.
As stated during the referenced conversations, our objectives for this meeting are:
1.
To outline / discuss the technical basis for our exemption requests.
2.
To identify (to the extent possible) any questions or concerns the NRC might have and discuss how to resolve.
3.
To outline / discuss our plan / schedule for closcout of Appendix R related issues.
A suggested agenda is attached. As indicated by the agenda, we expect that our presentation and the subsequent discussion will require about four hours.
