Attached are the applications for senior operator licenses for six employees of Northern States IWer Ccupany at the Fbaticello Nuclear Generating Plant.
The applications are being mde in accordance with Title 10, Part 55, Section 55.10. Lach of the six analoyees presently holds an Operator's License. The six applicants are:

The services of these men as licensed operators are mquired for the continued operation of the Ibaticello Nxlear Generating Plant located near hbnticello, Minnesota. The applications for senior operator licenses for the six c=ployees is mde on the basis of probable future need for their services as senior licensed operators.
Presently, in additica to the six senior operator licensed Shift Supervisors, we have only two additionni shift operators with senior operator licenser.

Each of the six licensed applicants has remained actively engaged in plant and reactor operations aM has performed his duties aM respsibilities in a safe and ccm etant manner. Through self study aM with the woefit of the retrain-ing program, these men have maintained a thorough knowledge of the reactor and reactor control systems, instrunentation, and operatire procedures for remal and abnomal conditions.
It is my belief that each of the six applicantsis caprible and qualified to be a Licensed Senior Operator at the & nticello Nucisar j
Generating Plant.
Tentative arrangements have been made with Mr. Robert Campbell of the Operator Licensing Branch to have the senior operator =vamination given at the Monticello plant site on Harch 7, 1974.
