Enclosed is an application for an export license (XSNM02719), recently received by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, for the export of low-enriched uranium for use as reload fuel for Genkai Unit No.1 Region 19, in Japan.

Assurances from the Government of Japan are required that the material will be subject to all of the terms and conditions of_an agreement-for cooperation.

Your assistance in obtaining the necessary assurances will be appreciated.
