Dear Mr. Denton:
In our letter of May 1, 1985 which transmitted the referenced report, it was indicated that there was a question as to the method of calculating the standard deviation.
Upon further review it has been determined that the method is correct and the standard deviation data is also correct.. This conclusion was transmitted to.Mr.
D.' Wigginton via telephone on May 9, 1985.
I would also like to take this opportunity to inform you of two additional points concerning the Annual Environmental Operating Report - 1984.
First, the data missing from the 1983 report including:
a) land use cens".3, b) gamma isotopic analysis of monthly composite water samples from locations L1, L2 and L3, and c) gross beta / gamma monthly isotopic analysis from St.
Joseph, Lake Township and New Buffalo intakes are included in the
};
1984 report.
Seco:1d, on page 13 of Section IV of the 1984 report the phrase "no data available" appears for gross beta concentrations in air samples.
This data is contained in the 1983 report previously submitted to the NRC.
This document has been prepared following Corporate Procedures which incorporate a reasonable set of controls to insure its accuracy and completeness prior to signature by the undersigned.
