SUBJECT:
EXEMPTION T0 15-DAY WAITING PERIOD FOR ISSUANCE OF LICENSE AMENDMENT TO ADD ADCITIONAL 'NTERMEDIATE CONSIGNEE (XSNM02617/01)
On November 13, 1992, NRC received a letter from Edlow International Company, requesting an amendment to export license XSNM02617 to add FRAGEMA,-F8FC (Societe Franco-Belge de Fabrication de Combustibles) Plant, 26104 Romans-Sur-Sierre, France as an additional intermediate consignee for the purpose of' storage, conversion, fabrication and as working inventory.
The applicant has requested expeditious processing of the license request as the material is ready for immediate-shipment and is urgently needed.
The staff has concluded that the proposed amendment meets the requirements.of the Atomic Energy Act, as amended, and would not be inimical to the common. defense and security of the United States.
.in view of the above considerations, the staff issued the license amendment-without tiie normal 15-day waiting period.
