1. ULNRC 2725, "Callaway Plant / Docket Number 50/483 / Designation of Radiation Protection Manager for Callaway Plant," November 13, 1992.

Union Electric Company herewith transmits an application for amendment to Facility Operating License Number NPF-30 for the Callaway Plant.

This amendment application requests a revision to Technical Specification 6.3.1.2 to allow any one of three management personnel within the Health Physics department, i.e.,

the Superintendent, Health Physics, the Supervisor, Health Physics, Technical Support, or the Supervisor, Health Physics, Operatione, to be designated as the Radiation Protection Manager as long as that person meets or exceeds the qualifications of USNRC Regulatory Guide 1.8, September 1975, for a Radiation Protection Manager.

The Radiation Protection Manager will be designated by the Plant Manager.

This change does not reduce management control of the Callaway Plant radiation orotection program nor affect the potential for exposures of persons to radiatioil.

This change does not reduce the overall base of experience nor the commitment to minimum qualifications.

The Callaway Plant On-Site Review Committee and the Nuclear Safety Review Board have reviewed and approved this amendment application.

U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Page-2 provide the Technical Specification changes, Safety Evaluation, Significant Hazards Evaluation, and Environmental Consideration, respectively. -It hae been determined that this amendment application does not involve any unreviewed safety question as defined in 10CFR50.59 nor t

a-significant hazard consideration as determined-per 10CPR50.92.

By Reference 1, Union Electric provided notification that Mr. John L. Neudecker, Supervisor, Health Physics, Operations: has been designated Radiation Protection Manager at the Callaway Plant.
