By application dated July 21, 1970, Northern States Power,.p Company requested an extension of the latest completion date-d specified in Provisional Construction Permit No. CPPR-31, as amended.
The permit autaorizes Northern States Power Company to construct a boiling water nuclear reactor, known as Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant. Unit 1, at the applicant's site, approximately three miles-northwest of Monticello in Wright County, Minnesota.
Good cause having been shown for this extension pursuant to Section 185 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, and Section 50.55(b) of 10 CFR Part 50 of the Commission's. regulations, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED THAT the latest completion date specified11n the amendment to Provisional Construction Permit No. CPPR-31-is extended from August 1, 1970 to February 1,l.1971.
