Dear Commissioners:
I am in receipt of a letter of Kirkpatrick &
Lockhart dated June 11, 1985 attaching a document which Mr.
Brown characte rizes as a "re solution".
This letter complet-ely misrepresents the na ture of the document-a ttached.
A resolution may only be adopted by the Suff olk County Legis-lature according to certain procedures, none of which were complied wi th.
That document is totally inoperative to achieve the purpose intenth:1.
We have said on two prior occasions that the ser-vices of Ki rkpa trick & Lockhart have Men termina ted.
Lest there be any doubt on this question, please be advised that the County Executive has terminated their cont.ract.
They no longer represent the County of Suf f olk and can not speak for the County of Suf f olk.
Their continued interf erence in this matter will M dealt with in another forum.
