CRGR HEETING NO. 233 - AGENDA REVISION 1 The Committee to Review Generic Requirements (CRGR) will meet on Tuesday, November 24, 1992 in Room IF7-9, 0WFN. The agenda is as follows:

8:00 - 9:00 a.m. A. Thadani (NRR) will present for CRGR review the proposed Safety Evaluation Report for Topical Report NEDC-31753P, which provides the safety analysis to support relaxation of current safety relief valve (SRV) lift setpoint drift limits in BWR plant technical specifications. The review package for this item is enclosed.

9:00 - 9:30 a.m. The Committee '. vill discuss the CRGR role, and appropriate timir.g of the CRGR review, in the process for issuance of urgent NRC generic-communications.

The background material for this discussion item is enclosed, j 9:30 11:00 a.m. The Committee will discuss NRC experience in implementing the backtit rule, and consider the need for addressing further in existing procedures the difficulties encountered in situations where seemingly-worthwhile changes to-the regulations cannot be shown to result in substantial additional protection. If a CRGR member cannot attend the meeting, it is his responsibility to assure that an alternate, who is approved by the CRGR Chairman, attends the meeting.

In accordance with the EDD's March 29, 1984 memorandum to the Commission concerning " Forwarding of CRGR Documents to the Public Document Room (PDR),"

the review packaoes for items scheduled at this meeting, which contain predecisional information, will not be released to the PDR until the liRC has considered (in a public forum) or decided the matter addressed by the information.
