NOTICE OF ISSUANCE OF PROVISIONAL CONSTRU0rION PERMIT Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to the Initial Decision of the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board, dated June 19,1967, the Director of the Division of Reactor Licensing has issued Provisional Construction Permit No. CPPR-31 to Northern States Power Company for the construction of a boil-ing water nuclear reactor, designated as the Monticello Nuclear Generating i

Plant Unit 1.

The reactor is designed for initial operation at approxi-mately 1469 thermal megawatts and is to be located at a site in Wright County, Minnesota, approximately three miles northwest of Monticello, Minnesota.
