CLAIBORNE EllRICHMENT CEllTER (CEC) QUALITY ASSURANCE (QA)
By telephone call on November 30, 1992, Mr. Peter LeRoy of Louisiana Energy Services (LES) responded to the question asked at the November 13, 1992, meeting regarding the QA classification of the " tails cylinders" used at the CEC.
He stated that not only the tails cylinders but also the other UF cylinders used at the CEC would be classified as QA Level 2.
QALevelkis described in Section 19 of Chapter 10 of the LES Safety Analysis Report (SAR).
As you know, it is used for items and activities that are not " safety-related" but that do have some importance to safety.
Mr. LeRoy committed to add "UF Cylinders" to Table 10.1-4 as QA Level 2 in the rext SAR revision.
This 6
includes all UF cylinders, not just the tails cy11.m 6
m.
I find this commitment acceptable.
I also conclude that it does not affect the text or figures of my October 30, 1992, input to the Safety Evaluation Report covering QA for the CEC.
However, upon receipt of the SAR revision which incorporates this change, Footnote 4 of my SER input should be revised to indicate that the staff review of the LES QA program for the CEC incorporated SAR revisions through that particular revision.
