NUMARC 1/28 MEETING.WITH NRC
Purpose:
Discuss NUMARC plans to cofund perfornumce of ampacity derating test _
configurations assembled by Texas Utilities Electric at Omega Polni labs, and utilize the results of these tests for application to the industry. Testing would be performed in accordance with IEEE P848 Draft 11.
Issues for Discussion with NRC:
1.
Acceptance of IEEE P848 Draft 11 as a valid method for determining ampacity derating factors for fire barriers.
2.
Application of data from tested configurations (conduits, cable trays) to similar configurations used in industry:

Any issues identified from NRC inspection of test configurations and review of test plan 4.
