INP0/NRC C0 ORDINATION MEETING HINUTES - JANUARY 6,1993 In accordance with the Memorandum of Agreetnent dated October 21, 1991, staff from i
the Division of Reactor Controls and Human Factors (DRCH) met with representatives from the Institute of Nuclear Power Operation's (INPO) Training and Education Group to exchanoa information related to training and accreditation on January 6, 1993. The meeting agenda is enclosed, f--
4 INP0 discussed expected utility actions when training programs are placed on accreditation probation and formally requested the opportunity to observe an NRC-e administered licensed operator requalification examination. INPO also discussed proposed efforts to increase the efficiency of the INP0-managed accreditation process.
A discussion was held related to the comments.of NRC observers at National Nuclear Accrediting Board meetings, it was agreed that concerns of the observers related to the accreditation process would be forwarded to INPO through-normal channel s.
NRC provided a status of organizational factors research being conducted by the Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research and or the proposed training rule.
