Dear Mrs. Hatley:
I have been made aware that you did not receive a copy of the typed transcript from the interview with you by Mr. Bangart and myself on May 18, 1984.
I am transmitting a copy of that typed transcript and a copy of the sound recording (made in standard cassettes) herewith.
You will note that the tape has a number of places where the conversation was not successfully recorded, and that this situation is reflected in the transcript.
Since the recorder batteries were fresh, the tape was new, and the recorder appeared to be otherwise working, I cannot explain the failure to record.
If you can recall some of the points you made which were not recorded, I would appreciate hearing from you.
I apologize for not sending this material to you sooner.
