Baker Vendor Program Branch Division of Quality Assurance, Vendor and Technical Training Center Programs Office of Inspection and Enforcement On March 26, 1985, a meeting was. held in Room 319 at 4350 East-West Highway, Bethesda, Maryland between Interstate Steel Supply Company (Interstate) and members of the Vendor Program Branch (VPB), Office of Inspection and Enforcement (see attached list of attendees).
The Purpose of the meeting was to discuss the inspection. report written by the VPB as a result of the inspection conducted at Interstate, November 13-16, 1985, and Interstate's response and proposed correc-

tive action.
Interstate requested that the revised Quality Assurance Manual be discussed first.
The NRC provided two comments to Interstate concerning the handling of bundled items when the bundles are broken and the processing of customer complaints or nonconformance reports.
Interstate's response'to the inspection.repo'rt was discussed next.
The NRC pre-sented two concerns to Interstate.
Both concerns dealt with what appeared to.
' be refutations of two of the NRC's nonconformances, the first dealing with the status of traceability of material at-Interstate and the second dealing with the' procurement of ASME material.
Interstate agreed to review their QA Ma aal and their response to the inspection report and submit revised versions of both.
The NRC agreed to wait until the revision were received before issuing a written response to Interstate.
