Report of Change in Employee Compensation In Amendment No.10 to the Seabrook operating license [ Reference (a)], the NRC imposed certain conditions on North Atlantic Energy Service Corporation (North Atlantic).

One of these conditions,2C.(4)(b) requires the reporting of " changes to any compensation

incentive program which could have potentially adverse effects on facility safety;". This letter reports a change to the.cmployee compensation program in accordance with -this condition.

On September 2,1992, certain employees of North Atlantic affirmatively approved the Utility Workers Union of America (UWUA) as their exclusive collective bargaining representative. The bargaining unit represr ed by this union consists of 229 persons made up of all mainti.aance employees, including

hanics, electricians, relay technicians, tool 4

crib techticians, station staff utility worke, control room, alternate control room, and auxiliary operators; instrument and control technicians, health physics technicians, chemistry technicians, material handlers and technicians and rad waste technicians.

North Atlantic is currently negotiating with the UWUA to establish wages, benefits and working conditions for the represented employees. These negotiations will include all components of wages including the company's incentive goal compensation program. As part -

of the negotiation process, North Atlantic has taken the position that, effective January 1, 1993, those employees represented by the UWUA will not automatically be participante in.

the incentive compensation program. The future participation of the represented employees in the incentive compensation program will depend on the outcome of the negotiations with the UWU A.
