1 Motice in hereby given that the U. S. Mucicar Regulatory Commission (the Commission) has issued Amendment No. 8 to Provisional Operatine, License Mo DP422 issued to the Northern States Power Company (the licensee) which revised the Technical Specificationn for operation of the Monticello The Muclear Generating, Plant located in Urie,ht County, Minnesota.
nmendment is effective as of its date of issuance.
The amendment incorporates neu fn-service inspe<. tion, surveillance, and testing requirements a ar the torun-to.lryvell vacuun breakers to increnan perf ace reliability anel provido added nomurc.ce thst the breakers wil., eriste as recuired under accident conditions.
The application for the amendment complies with the standards and requirencnta of the Atomic Encrny Act of 1954, as amended (the Act),
and the Commission'n rules and regulations.
