hearing such limits and conditions upon the making of any limited 4

j appearance as it may deem appropriate at that time. .

5. The limited appearance statements under $2.715(a) will be l  !

scheduled after the board attends to preliminary matters and announce- l i

i

'ments at the beginning of the hearing. The statements, which will take i

place prior to the time the parties introduce evidence, may be expected f

i to begin late in the ntorning of the first day of the, hearing and continue n

into the afternoon. This projection of the timing of that part of the

' hearing schedule pertaining to limited appearances is an estimate only i

for the convenience of those concerned; it should not be construed

i 4

i otherwise, i 6. Persons making limited appearances who plan to have written statements are encouraged to forward such statements to the board chair-man in care of the Public Proceedings Branch, U.S. Atomic Energy Commission, Washington,' D.C. 20545 so that they arrive on or before 1

l Thursday, April 23,1970. In the normal course of events, the state--

ments would then be duplicated and distributed to the parties and others

(

on the certificate of service list prior to the hearing. From the stand .

r

-point of orderly proceedings it is desirable that the parties in pa' ticular be informed in advance of the hearing of'the substance of the limited.

appearance statements.
