C. 20545 MAIL & hos SECTION \\ l Dear Mr. McCool; l Pursuant to the provisions of 10 CPR - 2 714 of the Cocaission's ' Rules of Practice", I am requesting leave to intervene in the matter of the application of <,he Northern States Pcier Company for a provisional operating license for Wonticello Nuclear Generating thit 1, Docket 50 - 263 Your records will show that I represented Clear Air,,_ClearJater-th_lini.ted at the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board Hearing in the matter of Docket 50 - 265 on May 25 - 26, 1967, at Buffalo, Minnesota. The interest of Clear Air, ' Clear Water - thlimited at Wt time remains in the present hearing and we wish to present significant information concerning the probable offect of this nuclear generating plant upon the environment of the region and the citizens of this area. l Clear Airy Clear Water - Unlimited is a citizens group of fifteentyears existence and has a broad range of interests in the effects of contaminants on ecolo;;ical systems. We intend to demonstrate the reasons why the application for a provisional operating license should be withhold, pending additional protective measures to insure that the facility can be operated without causing undue risk to the health and safety of the pepple residing in the area.
