Dear Dr. Seaborg:

-As yoin know, public hearings have been scheduled by the AEC for April 28, 1970 at Buffalo, Minnesota on the matter of an application for a provisional operati.ng license for the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant, Unit 1.

I have been requested by constituents of the Four,th District to intervene and ask the AEC to move the site of those important hearings to a more convenient location, perhaps someplace in Minneapolis - St. Paul.

In view of the widespread interest of people in the Twin Cities area in these proceedings, I believe the request is most reasonable.

I urge the Commission's favorable consideration to moving the site of these hearings.
