As required by 10 CFR fa 50.46(a)(2)(iii), a Motice t*an pablished in the rederal Register on July 11, 1974, (39 FR 25532) that the Director of Regulation had received and una considering a request f rom ?iorthern States Power Company (the licensee) for an extension of j time until September 16,.1974, of the submittal date for the Monticello-Nuclear Generating Plant (Monticello) ECCS evaluations.

The Notice also invited the submission of vicun and corcents by any interested persons oa the licensee's request. Comments have been received from Friends of tha Earth and Coanolidated National Intervenors.
