Dear Mr. Martin:
I appreciate very much the opportunity to visit with you regarding the operation of Cooper Nuclear Station.
It afforded me a much better under-standing of your concern regarding the District, management and opera-tion of Cooper Station. As you suggested, I feel strongly that similar periodic meetings of this type would be very beneficial for improved communication at my carrying out responsibilities in the nuclear area of NPPD's operations.
This will also confirm that the chairman of the Board of Directors' Nuclear Committee has called a meeting for 9:00 AM at the Holiday Inn, Columbus, Nebraska. The agenda of the Committee meeting will include meet-ing with you and any of your staf f that accompany you at 9:00 AM.
Following this portion of the Committee meeting, management will be presenting to the Board its recommendations for construction of a new training facility at Cooper Station, which would incorporate space for the ultimate installation of a simulator.
Enclosed is a folder containing information regarding NPPD.
I had hoped

that the 1984 annual report would be available but it is not scheduled to be received from the printer until early next week; therefore, the 1983 annual report is included. Also included is a Xerox copy of pictures of the current Board members and a brief biography of each of the Board members. Other miscellaneous pamphlets regarding the District are included that will provide some additional information regarding facilities of the District.
