NRC COMillNED INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 50-317/92-29 AND
50-318/92-29
This letter refers to the inspection conducted by Ms. Leanne M. Kay of this office on
November 16 through 20,1992 at Calvert Cliffs, Units 1 and 2, in Lusby, Maryland to
review your actions in response to three previous NRC inspections. Ms. Kay discussed her

findings with Mr. Donald Graf and other members of your staff on November 20,1992 at
the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the NRC Region I Inspection Report
l
which is enclosed with this letter. The inspection included a review of electrical design basis
assumptions and calculations in support of your Generic Letter 89-10 program for motor
operated valves that perform vital functions to protect the health and safety of the public
during a design basis accident. Supporting documentation for the corrective actions of an
'
unresolved item and a prior violation regarding cable separation were reviewed.
