" Resolution of Generic Issue 70, ' Power-Operated Relief Valve and Block Valve Reliability,'and Generic issue 94,
' Additional Low-Temperature Overpressure Protection for Light-Water Reactors.' pursuant to 10 CFR 50.54(f)."
GPU Nuclear responded to Generic Letter 90-06 in a letter dated December 24, 1990.
The NRC staff reviewed that response and in a letter dated October 29, 1992 provided comments regarding testing of the Power-0perated Relief Valve (PORV) anc' the incorporation of model Technical Specifications.
Because the application-of model Technical Specifications is a generic issue, the NRC comments affect the other B&W operating plants as well.
Therefore, the B&W Owners Group (BWOG) Technical Specifications Committee has undertaken an initiative to respond as an owners group. A telephone conference call involving the BWOG utilities and the NRC staff was held on December 17, 1992.
As a result of that discussion, a BW0G response addressing the model Technical Specification issue is being prepared with TMI-l participation.
GPU Nuclear has discussed a schedule for responding to the recent NRC comments.
