Dear Mr. Chernoff:
O We have reviewed proposed Class 1 Project Interface Document (PID) 05-S-47, REV 2, regarding proposed changes to riprap specifications for the Grand Junction Uranium Hill Tailings Remedial Action site.
The revised PID was submitted in response to:
- 1) our letter of June 29, 1992; 2) subsequent discussions in which we identified the unresolved problems, including gradation and testing (PID 05-S-041); and 3) issues identified in our on-Site Construction Review Report (July 6, 1992).
Based on this review, we conclude that the proposed revised PID is acceptable and will resolve the construction problems encountered in the production of riprap for erosion protection.
