Dear Ms. Murphy:
This is in response to your letter dated March 1,1985, in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, the following:
- 1. The most current version of the Safeguards Summary Event List (SSEL)includingdrafts,
- 2. Documents discussing criteria or other considerations as to which .
events are to be included in the SSEL.
- 3. Documents other than the SSEL containing compilations of safeguards incidents, and
- 4. Documents related to analysis of events and trends included in:
(a) current or past SSEls or (b) the other documents containing compilations of safeguards incidents.
The documents listed on the enclosed appendix are responsive to your request.
Documents one through six are enclosed with this letter.
As you will see from reviewing the appendix, documents seven through ten are NUREG reports. Distribution of NRC regulatory and technical reports that carry the registered government NUREG identification is made through several l established programs. With few exceptions, such as a draft NUREG report that NRC publishes for public coninent, the NRC makes a NUREG report available to the public at a nominal purchase price. Copies of NUREG reports may be obtained from the NRC/ Government Printing Office (GP0) Sales Program. We are enclosing an announcement that provides procedures for obtaining NUREG
- reports from the NRC/GP0 Sales Program.
