Subject: NRC Inspection of TRIGA Facility
This refers to the routine inspection conducted by Mr. M. Cillis of this
office on May 28, 1985, of activities authorized by NRC License No. R-101, and
to the discussion of our findings held by Mr. Cillis with Dr. T. Lim and other
members of your staff at the conclusion of the inspection.
Areas examined during this inspection are described in the enclosed inspection
report. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective
examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with
personnel, and observations by the inspector.
This inspection disclosed significant management involvement and support and
overall improvement in the operation of the Berkeley TRIGA reactor facility.
We appreciate the cooperation demonstrated since our inspection in December
1984.
No violations with NRC requirements were identified within the scope of this
inspection.
In accordance with 10 CER 2.790(a), a copy of this letter and the enclosure
will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
