CRGR REVIEW 0F PROPOSED IPE GENERIC LETTER SUPPLEMENT ON ACCIDENT MANAGEMENT This is in response to your memorandum, dated November 28, 1989, to me regarding the subject proposed generic letter supplement for transmitting to licensees accident management strategies identified by staff review of existing PRAs. In the proposed supplement, licensees are encouraged to consider accident manage-ment strategies identified by the staff and included with the proposed supple-ment; but there are no actual new requirements for specific licensee actions or reporting promulgated at this time. -
After careful review by the CRGR staff, and consideration by the Committee on a negative consent basis, I agre.a that no formal review by CRGR is required on this item; this is with the understanding that the staff has responded satisfac-torily to the enclosed comments that were provided by C3GR member, D. Ross. If there are any further questions regarding this matter, please contact me or Jim Conran of my staff (X29855).
