Generic Letter 81-38, Storage of low-Level Radioactive Wastes at Power Reactor Sites, November 10, 1981 Generic Letter 85-14, Commercial Storage at Power Reactor Sites of low-Level Radioactive Waste Not Generated by the Utility, August 1, 1985 Information Notice 89-13, Alternative Waste Management Procedures in Case of Denial of Access to Low-level Radioactive Waste by Fuel Cycle and Materials Licensees information Notice 90-09, Extended Interim Storage of low-Level Radioactive Waste by Fuel Cycle and Materials Licensees Memorandum from Ronald B. Uleck to Paul H. Lohaus, Meeting with Connecticut Low-level Radioactive Waste Program Officials, April 1, 1992 The answer to Question 5 in Attachment C to the above referenced April 1, 1992, memorandum addresses the issue of engineering enhancement of sites to compensate for deficiencies. While Generic Letter 85-14 addresses the question you asked about licensing nuclear power plant onsite and offsite storage of low-level radioactive wastes from all generators within a state, I am continuing to discuss this matter with our Office of General Counsel and may be able to provide you more information in the future.
