Thank you for your letters dated February 20, and April 10, 1981, in-forming us of the steps you have taken to correct the noncompliance
, identified in our letter dated January 30, 1981.
This letter also refers to the telephone conversation on May 28, 1981, between Mrs. Karen Iovan of your staff and Mr. W. P. Reichhold of this office, concerning your corrective actions and the operational status of your nuclear medicine department.
We understand that currently your nuclear medicine department is in-active. When your nuclear medicine department is reactivated you will ensure the following actions will be taken:
1.
Constancy checks of the dose calibrator will be performed on the technetium-99m and iodine-131 settings the day these isotopes are used.
2.
The corrective actions described in your letter dated February 20, 1981, and April 10, 1981, will be implemented the day your nuclear medicine department starts performing patient studies.
If our understanding of the above is incorrect, please contact Mr. W. P. Reichhold at 312-932-2500.
We will examine these matters during a future inspection.
