Dear Sirs:
During a telephone conversation with Mr. Bordenick on June 12th, he advised me that Ms. Letsche, one of Suffolk County's former attorneys, had on June lith filed with your Board a motion on behalf of the County for leave to file a response to the L. I. Coalition motion to intervene.
The County did not receive Ms. Letsche's papers until June 13th.
During a telephone conversation with Mr. La nphe r o n M onday, J une 10 th, I personally advised him that the County, af ter a weighing of all of the facts, decided to take "no position" on the Coalition's motion.
We consider Ms. LeHche's actions a direct disobedience of our instructions, as well as an unlawful act, since the law firm by whi.ch she is employed doew not represent Suf f olk County.
