Dear Mr. Grimsley:
I hereby request, pursuant to the federal Freedom of Information Act ("FOIA"), 5 U.S.C.
S 552, as amended, and_ Nuclear Regulatory Commission ("NRC") regulations, _10 C.F.R.
Part 9, two

original tape recordings made by the NRC Incident Investigation-Team which investigated the March _20, 1992 site area' emerge'ncy at~
Plant Vogtle.
These two tape recordings were made (1) during the March 26, 1990 entrance briefing at Plant Vogtle,-and (2) during the. April 3,.1990 telephone' conference-between_ Plant Vogtle, NRC Region II and the IIT in Washington.
Although the NRC delivered the tape recordings to Ann Riley & Associates for transcription,_
Ms. Riley has informed me that upon completion of the transcript, the tapes were. returned to NRC.
For your_information, I understand that the tape recordings are or may be in the possession-of_the administrative assistant to the IIT, Ms. Cherie Siegel, or one of the IIT members: Al Chaffee, Rick Kendall, Bill Lazarus, Bill Jones, Mike Jones, Warren C.
Lycn, Harvey Wyckoff, Paul E.
Dietz, Garmon West or Gene Traeger.
I am willing to pay the applicable charges for. production of the requested tape recordings in accordance with_10 C.F.R._Part 9 up_to a maximum amount of_$200.00 and those charges in' excess of
$200.00 of which I am notified, and which I approve, in advance.
