i' We have reviewed your March 29,1985, submittal regarding the appointment of Richard T. Whitman as Radiation Safety Officer for all Naval Surface Weapons Center licenses. However, the Uranium Fuel Licensing Branch is only responsible for License Number 5 6 1147. The Material Licensing Branch is responsible for all other Naval Surface Weapons Center licenses and are independently performing their review of your submittal.
After reviming Mr. Whitman's resuae', we find that his qualifications meet the minimum qualifications specified in the conditions of License Number SNM-ll47. Therefore, no license amendment is required for Mr. Whitman's appointment as Radiation Safety Officer for this license.
