1.)

Approval of minutes of Februarv 10, 1981 meeting. MOTION was made and seconded to approve the minutes as written; passed without dissent.

1.5) Membership of Steering Concittee. MOTION was =ade and seconded to accept Herb Feinroth, DOE, as a member of the Technical Steering Committee; passed without dissent.

2.)

Availability of resources. The NRC had indicated in late February that a funding problem had been raised regarding support for development of the entire scope of the Procedures Guide. This necessitated interrupting the work of.the-74G.

Subsequent to this indication, the NRC was able to resolve its ircediate concern in providing financial support by supple-menting contractual agreements with Sandia National Laboratory.

In addi-tion to this resolution, substantial funding was of f ered by DOE to help support the program in view of its involvement in developing pRA methods.

EPRI also increased its financial support to the project. These funding arrangements, together with prior ccmmitments, are expected to be adequate to make it possible to complete the project.

The T4G will be asked to resume its work i= mediately.

3.)

Evaluation of scope and impact on schedule.

In view of the favorable funding situation, the Steering Committee reaffirmed its intent to pursue the scope as originally defined for the Procedures Guide.

Because of the delay imposed by the possibility of insufficient funding, a readjustment of the schedule was made necessary. Approximately five weeks has been lost from the effort and this will be accommodated by modifying the review cequence. A preliminary schedule developed during this meeting is attached. This schedule will be refined by Mr. Hickman and the T4C with the objective of adhering to the schedules established for the IEEE and ANS conferences in 10/81 and 4/82.

4.)

Status of peer reviewers.

Mr. Mallay reported on behalf of the ad hoc committee responsible for selection of peer reviewers and consultants.

A roster of approximately 25 reviewers and 3 consultants has been prepared and most of the people contacted. Nearly all individuals who were requested to perform the review and consulting services were enthusiastic about being able to make a contribution to the Procedures Guide. A complete list of these personnel will be submitted to the Steering Committee upon confirmation that all are willing to serve.
