A sample collected on Apri 7.1981. contained 62 mg/l of suspended solids.
ausading the maximum permit limitation of 45 mg/1.
Cause and period of the mencomoliance--The causes of this noncompliance are.
(1) poor flow equalizaties because of clogging of the lift puup in the I
aqualization tank. (2) tasufficient aeration resulting in sludge bulking with peer settling characteristics. and (3) increased flows and loadings because af additional maintenance personnel. This cambination of peerly settling solids and high and variable flows results la solida being carried over into the chlorias contact tank and thee late the effluent.

Steps taken to 7:i'*e. eliminate. and prevent recurrence of the noncosolyina discharoe--Medifications are belas pursued to correct the problems wita the equalization tank. The aeration rate has boca increased and the pumping equipment is being modified to pump the seitds out of the chierine contact l
