Dear Dr. Murley:
Iowa Electric has developed a temporary ACJendum to the'Duane Arr.*;1d Energy Center (DAEC) Security Plan pursuant to the-provisions of 10 CFR 50.54(p).
This Addendum describes:the scope-of DAEC security system upgrades, the schedule for their completion and the planned compensatory measures to be taken during construction of those upgrades.
This Addendum is being incorporated into the DAEC Security Plan by Change No. 29 (SPC -

29). - This change also includes a new List of Effective'Pages to incorporate revised Figure Numbers-and incorporate the Addendum.
This change has been reviewed in accordance with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.54(p).
We have concluded that this Addendum does not decrease the effectiveness of the Security Plan.
A copy'of our evaluation is attached.
As specified-in 10 CPR 50.4, enclosed.are the original transmittal letter and three copies, with four sets of attachments.
In addition, two copies of the letter and attachments are being provided to the Region III office.
