Item 2.2.2 (Vendor Interface) - Incomplete The staff found the NUTAC program fails to address the concerns about establishing and maintaining an interface between all vendors of tafety-related equipment and the utility. Accordingly, the licensee will need to supplement his response to address this concern. This additional information should describe how current procedures will be modified and new onos initiated to meet the elements of this concern.

I PCE Response to Item 2.2.2 l

The Vendor Equipment Technical Information Program (VETIP), as defined in the March 1984 NUTAC document, addresses the establishment and mainte-nance of an interface between the appropriate vendors of safety-related equipment and PCE.

The appropriate procedures have been modified to l

implement the VETIP.

It is requested that the NRC reconsider its positicn on this issue.

Item 4.5.3 (Review of Intervals for On-Line Functional Testing) - Incomplete Licensee needs to submit a description of the specific implementation plan for Trojan af ter NRC reviews the WCAP-10271 and Supplement 1.

PCE Responce to Item 4.5.3 Trojan License Change Application (LCA) 117 was submitted to the NRC on January 30, 1985. This LCA proposed changing the Trojan Technical Specifications (TTS) to address portions of WCAP-10271, along with other specific TTS changes. A subsequent discussion was held with the NRC on this LCA on March 8, 1985. At that time it was agreed to revise LCA 117 to address:

1) All the applicable portions of WCAP-10271, l
2) NRC comments related to the WCAP and other aspects of the TTS, and
3) Additional proposed TTS changes.

Revision 1 to LCA 117 is being prepared and will address the above items. Revision 1 to LCA 117 should be submitted by August 31, 1185.
