" STANDARDS FOR PROTECTION AGAINST RADIATION" AT POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT. UNITS 1 AND 2 The final rule revising 10 CFR 20, " Standards for Protection Against Radiation," was published in th' Federal Register on May 21, 1991.
The effective date of '
rule was identified as June 20, 1992, with implementation ot mae rule by licensees require'. as of January 1, 199'J.
On May 19, 1992, a proposal to extend the required implementation date for the revised 10 CFR 20 was published in the Federal Register.
The proposed extension would require licensees to implement the provisions of the revised 10 CFR 20 by January 1, 1994.
The.inal rule adopting the January 1, 1994, implementation cate was published in 'he Federal Register on Pagust 26, 1992.
c In the Federal Register notification dated Augus* 26, 1992, power reactor licensees implementing the provisions of 10 CFR 20.1001 through 20.2401 and the associated appendices prior to Janua f 1, 1994, were required to inform the Director, Office of Nucioar Reactor Regulation.
Therefore, Wisconsin Electric Power Company, owner and operator of Point Beach Nuclear Plant, wouli l'.ke to inform you of our intent to implement the provisions of 10 CFR 20.1001 through 20.2401 and associated appendices as of January 1,
1993.
