PREllMINARY INPUT TO FINAL SAFETY EVALUATION REPORT ON CONTAINMENT PERFORMANCE The Civil Engineering and Geosciences Branch has completed its review of the information provided by GE regarding the capacity of the Reinforced Concrete Containment Vessel in Appendix 19F of the Standard Safety Analysis Report (up to and including Amendment 21) and subsequent submittals in response to the ,

staff's request for additional information. Enclosed is a preliminary safety evaluation. As a result of our review, we find that additional information is needed to complete our review related to the proposed ultimate ca)acity value, the internal pressure value, and the median fragility valve for tie reinforced concrete containment. Please provide a plan in writing for resolving these concerns by January 15, 1993.
