DISPOSITION OF DEPLETED URANIUM FROM LOUISIANA ENERGY l SERVICES (LES) LICENSE APPLICATION Enclosed is LES's response to the NRC letter dated September 22, 1992, and follow-up to the meeting of November 13, 1992, regarding-the disposition of j depleted uranium hexafluoride (DUF6) generated at the LES Claiborne Enrichment
- Center (CEC). We request-that you review the applicant's proposed actions.for the disposition of the DUF6,-in particular, the cost estimate. Please note
, that LES is treating separately the decommissioning funding plan and the cost
, estimate for DUF6 disposition. In addition, Table 1-of the enclosure takes-credit for aluminum salvage value, which the NRC does not allow to be i considered for decommissioning costs. On Thursday, December 17, we provided
- you with an advanced copy of the enclosed LES letter.- Due to_ schedule constraints, we request that you provide the resul_ts of your review by COB January 10, 1992.
