ASLBP No. 96-671-01-OLA-3 MEMORANDUM AND ORDER (Potential Board Concern)

In footnote 6 of our first order in this case, issued November 17, 1992, we said:

Georgia Power states that, "The only anticipated change in personnel at this time is that the Executive Vice President of GPC [ Georgia Power Company) (who is also the President of Southern Nuclear) will no longer report to the President of GPC but will instead report solely to the Board of Directors of Southern Nuclear. t is any ambiguity in the quoted statement, in light of license conditions, we may need to know precisely
(1) what the present license provides about the structure and management of the operating company, and (2) how that will be changed by the proposed amendment. If the letter of the present license is being complied with, that is all we may need to know. If there is some deviation from the letter of the current license, we may need to know what that deviation is and how it will be affected by the amendment.
