Dear Dr. Murley:
The purpose of this letter is to update the Plant Attribute Library for the Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant Emergency Response Data System (ERDS),
In submittal AEP:NRC:ll63- (Attachment - 3,Section IV, question Ic), the ERDS update frequency was given as 60 seconds. At the time of that submittal, the design of our ERDS was not complete.
Therefore, this value was given as an upper limit.
During recent tests with your contractor in Idaho Falls, we proved our ability to transmit ERDS. data with an update frequency of.15 seconds. Therefore, we request that the. update frequency for the Cook Nuclear Plant ERDS be changed from 60 seconds to 15 seconds.
