Dear Justin:
I read with intcrest the reporting of Nader's letter to Dr. ' Seaborg in t.he March 11, 1971 issue of ITJCLEO.;1CS WEEK regarding the possibic consequences of a plane crash near Big Rock Point in Michigan.
I cuggest that if Mader's letter is answered that it be on the basis
-i of fnir comparisons of destruction of a plane hitting the Pan Ac Building in : cw York at lunch time; or a plane hitting a hundred tank-car train of fuel passing through Chicago; or hitting a refinery plant in East Chicago; the Capitol Building in full session; military installations; NASA laboratories to mention a few possibilitics.
It is very likely that " maximum credibic incidents" possibic in other findt;strics can be worse than those in the nuclear ficid. The other ficids are cercly not on record as the nuclear field is in this respect.
Perhaps Dr. Scaborg should suggest that all industries should account for themselves in the sane respect that the atomic energy field is being requested to do.
Sincercly yours, nd Richard R. Quinn jb' e
