Dear Mr. Aydell:

We are in receipt of your letter dated November 19, 1992, requesting additional information for use in preparation of the wastewater discharge permit. We discussed this information request with Ms. Cheryl Legeune and Mr. Max Forbes of your office by phone on December 4,1992, and reached an agreement to provide additional information as noted below.

1.

Physical configuration of Bluegill Pond: Attached Figures 2.5-6 and 2.5-7 trom the Environmental Report give the physical configuration of the pond aid transects. They also contain the pond surface area, perimeter, surface elevation and volume. The locations of the planned outfalls have been added to Figure 2.5-6.

2.

Quarterly water quality data on Lake Avalyn: The water quality data collected through June 1993 will be submitted to LDEQ. The dam will be submitted in the July-August 1993 timeframe.

3.

Hardness and TSS data for Bluegill Pond: Bluegill Pond will be sampled twice a month (plus the additional non-rou:ine sampling as noted in the enclosed Proposed Sampling and Analysis Methods) for five months for these two parameters and the data will be submitted to LDEQ along with the Lake Avalyn water quality data in July-August 1993. A pronosed methodology for sample collection and analysis is 3

attached for your review ad comment.

Sulfate in the groundwater supply and Bluegill Pond: Existing sulfate data taken from the Environmental Report is attached. ER Table 2.5-5 contains sulfate data collected for Bluegill Pond. ER Table 2.5-10 contains sulfate data for groundwater wells developed in the Sparta Aquifer and located in Claiborne Parish. In order to provide additional sulfate data, the sulfate level in Bluegill Pond and a public water supply well located near the proposed facility and developed in the Sparta Aquifer will be sampk:d twice per month for five months (plus the additional non routine sampling as noted in the enclosed Proposed Sampling and Analysis Methods). The data will be submitted in July-August 1993.

LDEQ request to visit site: Permission is granted as requested to visit the site and collect sulfate, hardness, and TSS samples from Bluegill Pond and Lake Avalyn. The local representative is Mr. Blake Hemphill. His telephone number is (318) 927-9110.

Discharp pipe diameters: The Outfall 1 discharge nomina' pipe diameter will be 3 inches. The Outfall 2 discharge nominal pipe diameter will be 36 inches.
