Washington, D.C.

Dear Mr. Santman:
Per our phone conversation, I am enclosing a copy of the proposed agenda, map and registration form for the NRC Region V State Liaison Officers' meeting which will be held on March 5 & 6, 1980 in San Francisco, California.
This meeting is the fifth in a series of regional meetings we have been holding for our State liaison officers to acquaint them with the regional office operations and to give them an update on the major problem areas such as, radioactive wastes, transportation of radioactive material, emergency response and uranium mills.
Our Region V meeting will have State representatives from Alaska, California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona and Hawaii.
We appreciate your continued support and willingness to have a speaker on our program. The 00T speaker is scheduled on the agenda for the morning of March 6th to give a 20-minute presentation covering the problems and issues pertaining to the regulation of radioactive material. There will be a question and answer period for the States following the presentation on transportation.
Please notify me as soon as you know who will be the DOT speaker.
If you should have any questions regarding the meeting, please call me at 492-7794.
Sincerely, Sue Weissberg State Liaison Officer Office of State Programs
