Dear Mr. Reed:

This is to acknowledge receipt of Revision 9201 of the Byron Annex to the Generic Generating Stations Emergency Plan which was transmitted by letter dated August 21, 1992.

We have reviewed the changes to the Byron Annex and determined that they are consistent with the requirements of 10 CFR 50.54(q) and do not decrease the effectiveness of the emergency plan. Therefore, these changes are acceptable.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
